Each of the body in every sector will specify the type of job and the skills needed. The people who are members of the body do not have any contact with the employers and training institutions. The QCA is responsible of assuring that NVQ qualifications are according to the standard criteria. QCA gives due recognition of proposals for NVQ awards developed by sector bodies and awarding bodies, and quality assures and audits the activity of awarding bodies.
